Anticipation filled the air as the halls bustled with activity. The girls moved from room to room, gathering their things and perfecting their hair and makeup so that they would be ready to help Elizabeth. One floor down, the guys put the finishing touches on their outfits as they helped each other with ties, cuff links, and pocket squares. The day was finally here, and Jared made sure he moved cautiously to avoid seeing Elizabeth before the ceremony. Upstairs, with her mom, sisters and best friends by her side, Elizabeth put her wedding dress on and it all became more real. She was a bride.
The girls made their way to the church, and the guys followed shortly after. After careful planning to ensure they didn’t cross paths, the moment they had been waiting for finally came: Elizabeth’s father walked her down the aisle while Jared stood at the front, watching the beautiful woman he loves walk towards him. The day had really begun, now that they were able to spend it together. The waiting, the planning, and the hard work they put in to not only their wedding but their relationship was evident. Jared and Elizabeth you really do complete each other.
I had a great time heading over to my home state of Michigan for Jared and Elizabeth’s wedding at the University Club of Michigan State. Even better this was the first wedding Matt came along as my second shooter. He helped me documented every angle of the day and this is how it started…

Elizabeth, you look gorgeous! Love the fun shoes and way to carry out the sunflower and yellow theme all the way down to the crinoline petticoat you had custom dyed (you can see it in a few pictures farther down).

the new Mr + Mrs! there’s nothing like walking back down the aisle together. After the ceremony it was time for some pictures, and the nearby arboretum was the perfect location.
For the bridal party pictures I did a few things differently, including getting several shots to make the panoramic image you see below… it looks small but it can be printed quite large! I might have to carry that over and add it to the regular shots I get, what do you think? (I’m picturing it printed on a nice long canvas)
The University Club was waiting for us when we were finished, and was beautifully decorated with the royal blue and yellows Jared and Elizabeth had selected.

Pie was the dessert of the evening provided by the wonderful Grand Traverse Pie Co…
The evening’s speeches were filled with love, laughter and a few tricks – I love the “letter” that Mr. Crane found. Very authentic, I would say…

Everyone settled in and got comfortable where ever that might be…
…and had a great evening celebrating!
