Griffin : newly born

g_blog3
It is always nice to fit in a newborn session within the first few days of birth. They are small and pliable – I know that sounds wrong but it’s true – and sleep so soundly. It’s inevitable that they will go potty at some point during the session, but it’s all with the territory. Griffin didn’t let us down in any of those areas and I did a mini session during his first few days of life. While I’m sure some of these moments will become a blur for his family as they adapt to his arrival I hope they’ll always be able to look back on some of these photos and remember.g_blog5g_blog2

this photo above was one of the first that I took when Ryan was helping position him… and it stood out to me, and I love that his hands are a part of the picture. (mental note to take more hand pictures – but not the ones with hearts – in the future)g_blog4g_blog1

Hannah - These are wonderful! And you’re so right about those first few days passing by in a blur … I’ve heard so many friends say that babies grow and learn so fast. I love Griffin’s wrinkly little face in that first B&W.

Nita - So precious! I love seeing the parents’ hands since it give a little perspective about how teeny tiny the newborn is :)

Jessica - The last set is my favorite, I think. We had some photos taken of Simon at one week old, but they were mostly of him awake; I love the sleeping shots.
