watermelon season

my niece is the cutest watermelon eater. Like any good photographer aunt I took some pictures of her over the 4th of July. Playing in the pool, eating watermelon and sharing some with her best friend Lexi are among the things I documented. Are my kids going to be as cute?

Julia and Lexi are best friends and I’m not even kidding when I say that. They could entertain each other for hours, too bad we don’t live closer! Playing in a backyard pool is a must as a child, and Julia’s fav activity doing so is pouring water back and forth and back and forth – and sneaking drinks in between too. Don’t drink the pool water Julia!

Jacqueline - Mary, she is precious and these pics are fantastic! It’s so funny, I’ve been reading long enough that I remembered her baby pics! She’s grown so fast!

Sarah K - I have to say that I was disappointed when this post came to an end– she’s just that adorable:) She seems like such a funny, good natured little girl… I think your kids will look just like her because I think she looks just like you and Sarah!

sarbob - okay, I LOVE these pictures! you totally captured little Julia’s personality and I’m the luckiest ever to have such a talented sister. Julia said your name and Lexi all day today and kept saying “bye bye”. Your blog comments were fun and funny to read as always and had me and ryan laughing out loud remembering our fun backyard pool day….don’t drink the water Julia!!

Mom - Julia and Lexi are quite a pair. But the one with Lexi licking her tongue…how did you do that? I love my granddog and granddaughter. Julia is so adorable when she talks and Lexi is a great watchdog!

meg - all i can say is thank goodness for photographer aunts :) and photographer friends of course–if we could only be within camera shot distance of each other for once! and yes, you will have adorable kids–there’s a give-away gibson girl in julia and i’m sure yours won’t be able to escape that (not to mention the dashing dougherty qualities) sooo cute little julia! did you take any pics of pregnant sarbob??
