It’s the first official day of summer and I can think of no better summer activity than picking berries and fresh fruit. The only thing that could make that better is going picking with good friends, which is exactly what I did this morning. It was sunny and bright and the berries were like little jewels – so juicy and red… and of course delicious! I love going to orchards and farms and hope that this is the first of several summer trips. Unfortunately we aren’t completely unpacked so we might have to wait on canning and making jam but perhaps by the time raspberries are ready we’ll have our at home production lined up.
