It’s official. The photo above has made it into my all time favorites. I don’t have a list that I keep, but if I did this image would place somewhere in the top 10 for babies that I’ve photographed. I can’t look at this picture without smiling.
Tea (pronounced: teh-a, at least that’s how I would sound it out) is a bubbly little baby that I had the privileged of photographing. Her uncle, Jordan Markwood (I know my blog readers like to know where my connections come from) and I went to Houghton College together. As a gift to his brother + sister-in-law he booked a session with me and I think we had been planning it for about 7 months – that’s right, even before she was born! We waited until spring and the warmer weather, which was a good choice and then I headed up to the Winchester, Virginia area to shoot the images at Tea’s home.

I loved the tutu pictures, which is why I’m showing you them, but that wasn’t all I captured. We took several family shots and even tried to see if Tim Tam (the dog) would sit for a few.

Tam Tam didn’t really want to sit… but he obviously loves Tea! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do – and visit the gallery to see the full set, which will be live for 2 weeks. After you see the gallery, and decide you need to have some photos like this of your own, click the contact button on the toolbar above or email me at {hello at marydougherty dot net} and send me a note so we can set something up!
