when you make time for pictures on your wedding day

…you can do things like this! I just got back from Nita and Matt’s wedding and it was fabulous. Since time was tight between the ceremony and reception, we planned for some night photos as well and got the supplies together to make it happen. I absolutely loved doing it and am going to have to work on incorporating more creative night shooting into weddings that allow it.

There’s more where this came from, and I can’t wait to show you the rest. I’ve been busy traveling from Virginia to New York for this wedding and my blogging seems to suffer because of that, but there’s so much to post I can already tell this coming week is going to be a good one.

November 9, 2009 - 10:33 am Weekends for inspiration « - [...] Yesterday afternoon I met with Mary Dougherty to show her around the Book Arts Center. I always love to share its rich history and, so if you’re ever in the area and want to see the studio I’d love to give you a tour, too. I love chatting with Mary and her work is not the only thing that inspires me–I very much admire her achievement in pursuing what she loves to do and building a small business from the ground up. That should send a message out to everyone who is not following their dream. Check out this amazing photo from a wedding she shot this weekend: Mary Dougherty Photo Blog [...]
