ben & emily

Matt and I have been friends with Ben and Emily for a while. Emily and I were at Houghton together, and then after college when we were both married we spent several years living in the same town in New York – so they were our closest couple friends, which as you probably know can be hard to come by. We shared the love for the office, LOST, cooking, and canasta which all came together for some fun evenings. It was sad to move to Virginia and leave them, and off course they’re irreplaceable so how can we even try? :)  They have also been my gracious hosts for my recent pilgrimages to New York, so it’s been great travel back for the weddings I have in the NY area and be able to see friends. I hadn’t taken any pictures for them so it was about time and last weekend worked perfectly to do so. Without further ado, my friends, Ben + Emily.

Mom - Emily, you are the most photogenic “glasses wear-er” that I’ve ever seen. I’ve always hated having pic’s with my glasses, but your specs make you look even more smashing…Mary, you do such marvelous work…glad I could see current photos of such great friends.

Emily - Mary thank-you soo much for taking our pictures! We had a blast. You are such an awesome photographer. You made Ben and I feel so at ease. I love that we stopped at that barn too, it has so much character. We will be practicing ‘smiling with my eyes’ for our next shoot :)
