at home.

Before I left for home I shot Abby + Jeremy’s wedding in Houghton on a beautiful and sunny day. I’m not sure the weather compared to what they’re now used to in Florida but I think it was the perfect setting for the occasion. A lot of family and friends traveled up for the wedding which made the day really special and it was a pleasure to be a part of. Abby and Jeremy were so easy to photograph I probably could have gone on forever if we had the time. We took advantage of the lush green grass and I hope you enjoy this preview of photos from their day.

While I loved all the traveling I’ve been doing, it can also take a lot out of you and I’ve certainly felt it today and yesterday. I’m catching up on emails and calls but had a little setback when my phone decided to crash. It had to be replaced and everything was unrecoverable – but if that’s my biggest worry I’m doing okay as a phone is really no big deal in the scheme of things. I was phone-less for my drive back to Virginia, to which Matt commented that he would be less worried since I wouldn’t have a phone to distract me on the drive. I’m not sure what to think about that but I suppose it’s true – I had so many people I planned to call (don’t worry I have hands-free stuff) I’ve gotten totally off track and am trying to catch back up as well as locate all the phone numbers I’m missing. I think there’s only 2 numbers I have memorized – the real important ones – but I’m thinking I should have a list somewhere else as well. So, thanks for your patience as I get back in the swing of things!

Sarah - Mary! I can’t believe the story about the phone crashing. And great perspective on it not really being a big deal – its a good reminder because we definitely get so attached to our technology. We need to talk soon. Those wedding pictures are so romantic and the green grass looks so vibrant!
