afternoon nap

I wish I could just be sleeping like this… Lexi has the life. Of course, we had taken her on 2 different runs already, so really she deserved it. So much has been going on these days I’ve been trying to keep up. I’m getting ready for trips to New Jersey, Michigan, and New York in the near future and I can’t wait to see my family along the way! My niece is getting so big – I just got a video text of her tonight – and she’s so adorable.

So, how do you like the daybed (is that what I should call it?) that Lexi’s on? It’s a new piece of furniture we added since we moved and is great for more seating in the living room and something a little different. I have to say, there is still a lot we could do to pull the room together – interior design/decoration can be tough! I could get lost in DIY articles and browsing through magazines, but I don’t really have the time right now. Anyone have some killer tips? please share if you do!

Sarah - Let me just say you are well on your way to great design, just the fact that you have a cool piece of furniture and those neat curtains show that you are on your way to a fabulous living room! I love that picture of Lexi – mom described this post to me today while we were canning and I realized I hadn’t read or commented in a while! Yikes! This week has been crazy….have to tell you more soon. Love you!

Nita - Aaahaha! She’s so cute!

I have no special design secrets… except one I saw on TV – this designer took lots of those paint chips you can get near the paint aisle and cut them up to make a mosaic top for a coffee table under its glass. I might try it in frames for the wall.
