Nita and Matt returned to their alma matter in Alfred, NY for their engagement shoot. It was a short trip for me to meet them there, even though I took the craziest route of back roads I didn’t know and at one point was driving on a one lane dirt road through a fairly wooded area… thankfully I emerged and made it! I have to pause and also say that Nita might be one of my biggest fans – or at least the most frequest commenter on my blog – and I love it! It’s so encouraging and fun to hear from her (and everyone) every once in a while, and I know she’s been waiting patiently for these photos.
We started off at Terracotta, the cutest little coffeeshop in Alfred that I would recommed stopping by if you’re in the area :]

After a walk around town and a visit to their favorite house in the area, we headed through campus at an important spot for them, the bell tower. It really does chime quite loud – luckily it didn’t happen until after we were walking away.

To finish things up Nita brought some props to create her own version of a favorite that I’m sure you’ve seen before. If not, you need to take some art history! I hope you enjoyed, and Nita + Matt it was great to see you guys and photograph you- now you’re all warmed up for the wedding and I’m looking forward to November. In the meantime, keep the comments coming :]
