Canada > New York > Virginia

If you’ve been having a hard time keeping track of where I am and what I’m up to, I thought I’d give a little run down to keep you in the loop. For the week I’m back in New York for a week full of photography after a wedding and then vacation time in Canada. Mary Claire’s wedding was fabulous and so much fun since it also doubled as a reunion that everyone came to. I enjoyed being a bridesmaid and on the other side of the camera and can’t wait to see the photos by Garrett Elliott. After the wedding we had fun on the lake – tubing and knee boarding (first time for me) and then went over to Ottawa for a few nights. The highlight of the trip was doing the aerial experience at Camp Fortune in the morning (which consisted of zip lines and a highropes course) and then relaxing at Le Nordik in the afternoon. I don’t think I can rave about the spa enough – for $45 dollars you can stay as long as you want and go through the rotation of hot, cold, and relaxation periods. For the hot portion, you go into the steam room or the sauna, then it’s a quick dip in the cold pool or waterfall, and finally spend some time relaxing at one of the many places (fireplaces, hammocks, etc…) before you start again. Chances are you’ll fall asleep and be the most relaxed you’ve ever been. So, I would highly recommend it if you’re in the Ottawa area or planning a trip around there.

Now, I’m in New York for a week full of photography, including the wedding on the 4th and Kim + Vince’s this Friday. This morning was a portrait session (the above pic is from that) and tonight an engagement shoot, tomorrow I’m off to Rochester for several sessions and to wrap things up on Saturday is a bridal+engagement shoot. So, things are busy but going well. If you want to catch me while I’m in NY let me know, of course I’ll be visiting again soon as well :]
