Stacy and Rob's Wedding

This January wedding was a highlight to the winter and has brought me out of hibernation and back into blogging. I definitely got out of the loop and I’m trying to jump back in. I don’t think it will be hard though, because there is so much coming up I will have too much to write about :]

I think if you are going to have a wedding in the winter when there’s snow, you should embrace it. So, naturally I was delighted when Stacy told me she wanted to take some photos in the snow and she and Rob braved the cold and stood out there as well. I love how you can see their tracks out- it was fairly deep in some places, so I’m glad I brought some extra boots for Stacy to borrow – always come prepared!

Before I show you more of those, let me go back to the beginning…

The ceremony was beautiful, and afterwards we headed out back to the woods. There’s a bit of variety so I’d love to hear what you like. I think the ring shots turned out fabulous, I love how the stone is turned at an angle in the setting, it’s a gorgeous ring in my opinion.

a little bit of a vintage look with a gray tone…

…and I’ll leave you with this because I absolutely love it! Talk about a wedding day – each one is unique and I love being able to capture them.

mom - These photos evoke so much emotion…the quiet, cold beauty with the promise of marriage took my breath away and give me hope…thanks Mary…love you much.

marydougherty - yes I edit all the photos after – changing things as I see fit to have the best final picture. Some I do artistic editing to, I guess you could call it, and tone the photo and do additional things beyond the norm.

Nita - It almost looks as though the setting is a bud growing out of the tree branch! I especially like the veil photos.

Do you change the coloring later?

Casey McGaffick - Very nice pictures Mary. Stacy will be very excited to see them! You did such a nice job… I felt sad that I doubt Dan, Reese, and I will be in many of them :( Because we sat down during the ceremony. It’s probably for the best anyways ;) Great job :)
