It’s time that I put up some pictures of my niece, Julia that I took while I was at home. It was amazing to see her in the first few days, which really don’t last that long. I know she’s getting bigger already and I can’t wait until the next time I get to visit. It was amazing how much hair she had, and most people say she looks a lot like my sister. I’m sure more of the characteristics will take a while to show up, but if you compare baby pictures there’s quite the resemblance.

Those wrinkly feet are adorable. She did a great job for the camera, which can be a feat for many newborns. The key is always timing, figuring out when they are most alert after being feed since they will be content.

Looks like there might be some big blue eyes in the future.

get those hands out of your mouth! babies are so expressive you never know what moment you’ll freeze

a family portrait! it was a little harder to get her to co-operate on the scale, but I’m glad we tried it. She has such a perfect cry below and is a great newborn picture.

little woodland fairy… can’t help but think that with the cute fuzzy hair. This picture isn’t perfect either- a bit out of focus, but it’s a great moment and I love the expression, again.

and I’ll end with this one- a great family picture, and probably a pretty accurate depiction of life for the first few weeks :] I loved being able to capture such a significant time for my wonderful sister + brother-in-law and give them beautiful photos to remember Julia’s first few days. enjoy!
