A newborn is possibly the best Christmas gift ever- and I’m so excited to introduce my niece who was born this morning at 11:05. What is even more amazing is that it was completely natural – no drugs, not even an aspirin! Everyone’s doing well and I’m glad that Matt + I made it home in time (we drove back last night- through some nasty weather). As my first day as an aunt, I filled in as Julia’s personal photographer, and I’m sure this is just the beginning. I’m so excited for my sister & brother-in-law and can’t wait to watch my little niece grow up. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends!

i am the luckiest mom in the world to have auntie mary, photographer extraordinaire, to take pics of julia! i knew there was a reason that she was 9 days past her due date…she was waiting until mary could come to the hospital and take her first glamour shots! love you mary

She’s so beautiful, a perfect little face and that hair!!! Unbelievable, she looks exactly like Sarah. Way to capture the newness of a sleeping baby, she looks so snug and peaceful!

Congratulations to your sister (and family and you)! She’s beautiful! How exciting and on such a special date… My birthday is the 26th :)
My family always tried to make my birthday a separate event and it always felt extra-special since it was the time of year that everyone could be home!

Congratulations to all of you! I’m just so excited for the birth of Julia and have been waiting (as all of you) for this day. What a beautiful baby – healthy, precious and what a head of hair!!!! I am looking foward as you chronicle of her life. As I told your mom today, this will undoubtedly be the most photographed baby of all times! You will do her justice, no doubt.
